Profile:  Dr. Sachin Shripad Vernekar – Dean FMS BVDU, Director, IMED-Pune

Dr. Sachin S. Vernekar–life member of country wide institutions like AMDISA, IIPA, ISTE, National HRD Network, AIMA and DMA, is a PhD besides B.Com (Hons), MBA, LLB (Gen). He is presently serving as Dean Faculty Management Studies BVDU and Director of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development.He was elected as Representative of Institutional Members in the Governing Council of AIMA for the period from 2007 to 2009 and from 2010 to 2012 respectively. He is also the recipient of Fellowship of Indian Commerce Association in 2011 for outstanding contribution in the field of Commerce and Management.

He has recently been awarded with Top Rankers Excellence award for “The Dynamic Director Academia 2011”at the hands of ShriSubodh Kant Sahai, Cabinet Minister of Tourism during 13th National Summit on Visionary Leadership for Powering Business Growth held on 23rd December 2011.He has also received several scholastic awards and prizes including9^th Rapport Award and International Speaker Award ’09 from renowned Bangladesh Rapport Bangladesh Limited. Amity Business School also conferred on him the award of Best Academician Award, besides Appreciation Award from IIM Bangalore, “Excellence achieved in “Academics” from Bharati Vidyapeeth while NNS Media Group, New Delhi has conferred him with “Meri Dilli Puraskar” at the hands of Lt. Governor of Delhi for his outstanding contribution in Education.He is also the recipient of Abhijeet Kadam Memorial “Adarsh Mahavidyalaya Award” for outstanding contribution in education amongst higher education institutes run by Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune in the year 2007.He is serving as Expert Member of AICTE, UGC, and DEC besides serving member on the governing bodies of country’s five reputed Educational Institutes. In his illustrious academic career of 28 memorable years, he has supervised over 11 Master of Philosophy students and 3 Doctoral students. He has published more than sixty papers in International / National Journals 

He has organized several continuing education programs in the form of MDPs, FDPs, and engineered more than 200 national and international conferences and research programmein the field of management studies for academicians, corporate pundits and managers from industry on a wide range of topics. He also authored five books on different aspects of management.
